Five Point Capital Appoints Irene Evans Vice President of Human Resources
SAN DIEGO 21 August 2006 San Diego-based equipment leasing firm, Five Point Capital has appointed Irene Evans Vice President of Human Resources. Evans is responsible for the expansion and development of FPC’s Human Resource department. “With over 120 employees, the charge to create a vital HR team is a challenge we believe Evans has the leadership and experience to accomplish,” states President Dan Feder. Evans’ understanding of the importance of a strong HR division for employee satisfaction and recruiting was key in management’s decision to add her expertise to the company’s leadership team. Evans has over 15 years in the area of personnel and human resources. Her extensive background includes the position of Director of On-Site Consulting for MNS Human Resource Group. In this role she directed and facilitated the creation of HR departments for startup organizations. One of the startups, Vical, Inc. hired her as head of their HR department. Evans also has held executive level personnel management positions at Jostens Learning Corporation; Novartis Agricultural Discover Institute (currently The Torrey Mesa Research Institute); Novartis Institute for Functional Genomics; and her own independent consulting firm. “Irene’s dynamic personality and drive to contribute to the success of top caliber business organizations is exactly what FPC was looking for in a VP of Human Resources,” states Feder “we’re excited to have her on our team.” Evans holds a BS degree in Personnel and Labor Relations from the College of Business Administration at the University of Maryland. She is a member of the San Diego Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management. Her volunteerism efforts include, but are not limited to: San Diego Habitat for Humanity; Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation; Big Sister League; and guest career lecturer for the San Diego Public Schools. Evans resides in Carmel Valley.
