Dan Feder, Co-CEO

As Co-CEO of Five Point Capital, Dan Feder leads and executes major policies, programs and objectives. In his role, he also focuses on vendor relationships and building a strong brand for Five Point Capital.

Dan works day to day with executive and front line management to ensure operational processes are in line with the company’s goals and objectives. His strategic vision is leading the company’s future growth and expansion of new revenue channels.

After receiving his B.S. degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California, Dan worked as an industrial auctioneer. In this fast-paced environment Dan learned the ins and outs of asset disposition. This experience proved invaluable for Dan when he and Dave founded Five Point Capital.

David Gilbert, Co-CEO

As Co-CEO of Five Point Capital, Dave Gilbert takes a leadership role in new business development, partnerships and strategic planning.


Dave not only focuses on driving new sources of business, he aids these efforts by integrating opportunities with current operational processes to smoothly launch new programs.

Dave held prior positions at Northwestern Mutual Life and Balboa Capital before he and Dan started Five Point Capital in 1999. Dave received his B.S. degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California.

Josh Hoffman, Vice President of Sales

As Vice President of Sales for Five Point Capital, Josh Hoffman is responsible for directing all sales of the company’s leasing services via the firm’s large account management team. As part of this role Josh is additionally responsible for driving customer loyalty, satisfaction and retention through his customer service focused account managers. Josh also architects and implements innovative sales and CRM strategies along with operational efficiency processes and programs.

Joshua has over 16 years of experience in the areas of sales, management and operations. As an executive with Dell, Inc, he worked overseas in both China and India during his 11 year tenure. Most recently Josh was a consultant for sales, customer service, technical support and project management in Austin, Texas. He received a BBA Magna Cum Laude from St. Edward’s University, Austin, Texas.

Tom Brainerd, Vice President of Marketing

As Vice President of Marketing, Tom Brainerd is responsible for creating, designing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy based on the company’s goals. Tom’s team facilitates the company positioning, the promotion of and customer acceptance of the FPC equipment leasing services in the national marketplace. They identify and execute lead generation programs that help prospects be receptive to the company sales efforts and optimize the sales cycle.

Tom is a seasoned management professional with strong business development, corporate strategy and marketing acumen. He brings over 25 years of experience to his position at FPC and has held high level marketing positions at Ogilvy & Mather advertising agency, Daily & Associates, Crocker Bank, Citibank and Ford-owned Associates Corporation of North America. Tom received B.A. degree from Lehigh University, PA, went to Africa with the Peace Corps and then got his M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School.

Irene Evans, Vice President of Human Resources

As Vice President of Human Resources for Five Point Capital, Irene Evans is responsible for driving and managing the Human Resources department. Since her team is a vital component in recruiting employees and employee satisfaction, Irene has embarked on an aggressive plan to ensure that FPC is one of San Diego’s premier employers.

Her focus on quality and integrity has been the cornerstone of her successful corporate and consulting career. Irene is dedicated to providing her department strong leadership as well as being an employee advocate and resource. Irene holds a B.S. degree in Personnel and Labor Relations from the College of Business Administration at the University of Maryland. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and is involved in volunteering in the community. Irene volunteers for the San Diego Habitat for Humanity, San Diego Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and the Big Sister League. She is also a career lecturer for the San Diego public schools.
